The Call of a Parish Elders...

To serve Jesus Christ and his churches so that the churches feel assured that the Parish Elder is receptive to their needs and concerns and will connect them with the appropriate resource team who can serve them.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Lead the Presbytery in implementing our shared mission to Journeying with Jesus to touch the world— Empowered by the Spirit to: make disciples, nurture our faith, and serve the needs of the community through the Future Story.

• Receive contact from pastors and elders and communicate the need/request to appropriate entity—MVP Mission Center and/or response team.

• Communicate back to initial person letting them know who will be in contact with them and/or who they may contact.

• Encourage participation in presbytery meetings, special training events, ordination and installation services, and various celebrations.
